BCER’s Sean Beilman becomes Newest Member of the ASHRAE SSPC 90.1 Committee

After only one year of attending the ASHRAE Standard 90.1 Committee meetings, Sean Beilman, P.E., LEEDAP BD+C the newest member of the ASHRAE SSPC 90.1 Committee. Sean’s primary area of focus has been in the US Green Building Council’s LEED Certification Program in addition to Energy and Sustainable Design. Beyond the traditional role as mechanical engineer, Sean assists the BCER team with current and practical sustainable design practices. He brings experience in USGBC rating systems and guidelines, ensuring the mechanical and electrical designs meet the intent and goals of the owner, design/construction team, and appropriate certifying agency or program such as USGBC, Energy Star, and Boulder Green Points Program. Mr. Beilman also served as the Rocky Mountain ASHRAE Sustainable Engineering Committee; Chairman from 2009 to 2010.

Sean’s new role within the ASHRAE Committee will include assistance with writing, amending and maintaining ASHRAE Chapter 11 and Appendix G Sections of the 90.1 Energy Efficiency Standards.
