BCER Engineering has a focused effort in Energy Conservation and High Performance Buildings. We have always recognized the need to give our clients the best systems for each project that meet the owner’s energy conservation goals while upholding quality operations and maintainability. This effort is led by Sean Beilman, P.E., as Manager of Sustainability and Energy. He works to coordinate all disciplines for Energy Conservation, LEED rating, Energy Modeling, and BIM coordination when related to Sustainable Design. He has been instrumental in securing LEED certifications of all levels for more than 20 projects since 2010.
In recent years Sustainable Design has manifested itself with specialized systems that provide improved thermal comfort and reduced energy consumption. BCER has experience designing many of these systems including chilled beams, Ground Source Heat Pumps, direct/indirect evaporative cooling, radiant heating and cooling, displacement ventilation, under floor air distribution, and advanced control strategies to name a few. It is BCER’s mission to understand the client’s needs and propose appropriate system options.
