National Museum of the Marine Corps & Heritage Center
BCER Engineering provided performance based solutions of the exiting and smoke control design of a large atrium space at the National Museum of the Marine Corps and Heritage Center, a 120,000sf, 2-story facility in Quantico, Virginia. This museum was crafted using the inspiration of the Flag Raisers at Iwo Jima and details the history of the Marines over the 230-year honored history of the Marine Corps. Spaces with in the museum include: an atrium, office, classroom, exhibit, store, and a cafeteria with a “mess hall.” The total project costs approximated $60,000,000.
