John received his BS in Electrical Engineering from Michigan Technological University in 1989.  In 1998, he founded Rimrock Group, one of the first information and communications technology (ICT) specific consulting engineering firms in the A/E industry, which was in turn acquired by BCER in 2013.   John currently serves as Executive Vice President at BCER and is also the Managing Principal of BCER’s Colorado Springs office.   With three decades of industry experience, John brings thoughtful insight, leadership and business operations expertise to his role, overseeing departmental operations, developing and refining the company’s strategic goals, and maximizing company performance without compromising high-quality operations and client satisfaction.   His passion lies in exploring and crafting innovative strategies for BCER, aiming to deliver the most satisfying client experience in the A/E industry.

Outside of BCER, John is an avid Mountain Biker and Skier (bordering on the fanatical), and loves spending time with his family and friends in the mountains, always on the lookout for that next crazy fun mountain bike trail or off-piste ski run (and maybe, just maybe, a craft beer or two afterwards).
