BCER Engineering has been fostering a culture of “A Great Place to Work” since its inception in 1994. The first paragraph of our Firm’s Mission Statement states: “Believing that true and honest relationships are the key to happiness and success, BCER Engineering will strive towards the development of that kind of relationship with its clients and employees.” Our Firm practices what it preaches.
Here are a few ways we live our Mission Statement:
1. At the heart of BCER is our internal IMPACT team whose objective is “…to work in our genius to come up with ideas to plan and implement events that have positive impacts on our community, clients, and company.”
BCER supports several charities in Colorado, in big ways and little ways. As a Firm, we support the Colorado Children’s Hospital Burn Camp. Each February, we host a Fire Hose Race, where we invite our employees, clients, and associates to participate in a downhill ski race and raise money for this worthy cause. We also support Caruso Family Charities, STEMblazers and various other charities throughout the year.
Every July, BCER hosts a Golf Tournament for our Clients and industry partners. This is a big event and is much anticipated by our clients and employees alike. It is a fun-filled day of friendly competition, networking, food, and prizes.
We have always been big believers in working hard and having fun. We host monthly birthday parties to celebrate with our employees, big Holiday/End of Year celebrations that bring us together, and lots of fun throughout the year. Through the COVID pandemic, we have had to get creative to bring everyone together. With our new “work from anywhere” policy, we have fully embraced ongoing fun virtual Teams events. From virtual cooking classes, to book clubs, and weekday trivia games, we do our best to engage and embrace all of our employees across the United States, so everyone feels like they are a part of the team – no matter how far they live from the office.
2. Did someone say, “unlimited vacation”? BCER embraces the importance of work/life balance, and we encourage our employees to take the time off they need to support themselves and their families.
3. BCER has been nominated a Top Work Place from The Denver Post for the last 4 years in a row. This prestigious award is given to organizations based on surveys answered by their own employees. Here is what some of our employees have to say about BCER:
