- Why did you choose your profession? “It was unique. At the time the University of Maryland at College Park was one of two schools that offered an accredited degree in Fire Protection Engineering.”
- When have you been most satisfied in your life? “I am satisfied with my life at the end of each day.”
- Where do you see the company in 25 years? “An industry leader both locally and nationally.”
- If you weren’t with BCER what would you be doing? “Hiking the Appalachian Trail.”
- What is your passion? “Making a difference.”
- If you had 30 minutes of free time, how would you spend it? “Playing with my dog.”

- What is the most rewarding aspect about your job? “Improving the life safety in all the buildings I work in.”
- Tell me about a project or accomplishment that you consider to be the most significant in your career? “Being an integral part of the design and construction team for the first of its kind retrofit of a suppression system in the highest vehicular tunnel in the world.”
- What inspires you? “The people that work to make a positive change to society.”
- What surprises you every day? “That people still don’t know how to merge in traffic.”
- What do you want to tell your building Owners? “Just because something has been done before doesn’t mean it is good practice to do it again.”
