Adams County District 14 High School
The new 300,000-sf replacement community high school for the Adams County School District will serve as the area’s new high school and the civic and cultural center. Along with the high school and civic center, the building complex includes a community college component. Also included in the design of this project was a full Olympic-sized pool and pool area. For this project, BCER incorporated various energy and sustainability concepts, such as energy recovery, instantaneous water heaters, energy efficient lighting, and high efficiency boilers. Our HVAC design also incorporated carbon dioxide control sequences to reduce the amount of ventilation requirements during low occupancy hours. This integrated project is an excellent example of BCER’s approach to sustainability and our standard of energy-efficient design.
