Adams County District 14 High School
BCER Engineering completed the services for Adams County School District 14’s new replacement “Community” High School. The new 300,000sf building will serve as the areas new high school as well as the civic and cultural center. Along with the high school and civic center, a community college component is also part of the building complex. Also included in the design of this project was a full competition sized pool and pool area. For this project BCER incorporated various energy and sustainable concepts. Energy recovery, instantaneous water heaters, energy efficient lighting, and high efficiency boilers are some examples of this sustainable practice. Our HVAC design also incorporates carbon dioxide control sequences to reduce the amount of ventilation requirements during low occupancy hours. This integrated project is an excellent example of BCER’s approach to sustainability and our standard of energy efficient design.
