CSU – Industrial Science Building Renovation
BCER Engineering provided the Mechanical Engineering design for the complete remodel of the existing Industrial Science Building. The original 17,000 sq. ft. building was renovated with new chilled water service from the campus system including new building chilled water pumps supplying water to the new outdoor HVAC air handling units. The new units provide space conditioning as a variable air flow system with terminal heating coils. All units have airside economizer packages. The building plumbing was completely updated using low flow fixtures, new piping, and fire protection was also being included in the updates. BCER signed the standard State Contract for services, however the project was designed with the engineering services donated to the University with no cost to the State.
