St. Anthony’s Hospital – Colorado Retina MOB
BCER Engineering worked with St. Anthony’s Hospital to provide MEP
design services for a Medical Office Building (MOB) for specialty eye care
– Colorado Retina. This was a 17,000 sf build-out of a shell space for the
new eye clinic. The new facility includes patient rooms, staff pods, break
rooms, a drug room, a lab, conference rooms, and specialty procedure/
testing spaces.
Exam rooms were provided with unique lighting at cabinet toe kicks,
and dimmable lighting overhead. COVID/infectious disease prevention
strategies were also implemented, such as touch-free plumbing fixtures,
bi-polar ionization system (an electronic device that breaks down a
wide variety of harmful contaminations into a safe form), and Indigo-
Clean Lighting (a light fixture with patented technology proven to kill
harmful bacteria using safe visible light, continuously disinfecting the
environment) in staff break rooms and restrooms.
