DMNS – Cooling Tower and Pre-Cooling Upgrade
BCER has completed 50+ projects at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science including this Cooling Tower and Pre-Cooling System Upgrade. BCER served as Prime Consultant for this project and provided mechanical, electrical, and fire protection consulting. The intention of the project was to increase capacity, efficiency, and reliability of this system. The multifaceted project for the replacement and upgrade of the precooling system located in the east penthouse included the following: Replacement of existing pre-cooling use indoor cooling tower; replaced distribution pumps; replaced distribution piping; replace pre-cooling coils at twelve (12) air handling unit serving majority of the Museum; add a new plate and frame heat exchanger; coordination of construction phasing to minimize impact to the Museum staff and guests.
