UCHealth Hybrid Operating Room

In 2011, BCER successfully completed the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Design for a $4 million hybrid operating room for the University of Colorado Hospital. BCER worked with Leo A. Daly and Gerald H. Phipps Construction in the complex design and construction of this unique Hybrid OR. The OR combines state-of-the-art imaging equipment within the sterile operating room environment. The mechanical and electrical engineers of BCER worked closely with hospital staff and vendors to ensure the proper layout and careful coordination of the sophisticated equipment and systems which are vital for this type of OR to perform cardiac and vascular surgical procedures and minimally invasive interventions.
