Parker Police Station

The Town of Parker commissioned the design team and BCER Engineering to design their new 53,000sf police station. This new facility was designed to a USGBC LEED Certified Level and not only houses the Police Department but also provides for the Town of Parker’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC). This-state-of-the-art facility includes features like biometric access points, secured parking, and a generator back up of 100% of the building systems. The Parker Police Chief, David King, required a new facility that was economical and allowed for secure evidence storage, vehicle exams, training rooms, records, communications, investigations operations, patrol operations, holding rooms, and laboratory functions to name just a few of the spaces included in this new facility. The new Parker Police Station provided the Chief with a very functional and economical facility. BCER provided Mechanical and Electrical Engineering services for this project.

The new state-of-the-art home for the Town of Parker Police Department includes a shared municipal communications and 911 dispatch center, making it the largest public building undertaken by the Town. Rimrock designed the communications infrastructure, audiovisual system, security system, detention control system, and all electrical support infrastructure for the new 53,500 sf Police Headquarters. The facility allows for much needed functionality and flexibility with multiple layers of redundancy for critical infrastructure to allow for continuity of operations during emergency situations, a secure holding facility for criminal detainees, state-of-the-art evidence storage facilities, and an identification lab.
