WCSD RE5J Bond Projects
In 2017, BCER provided MEP/FP/IT engineering services to evaluate the general conditions of existing facilities for WCSD RE-5J. The facility assessments were intended to bring to the attention of the school district the readily-apparent issues with the buildings, for the noted disciplines, to identify needed repairs or system modifications, and identification of potential on-going maintenance items to mitigate the development of issues in the future. The observations were general in nature and intended to inform the process of pursuing a Bond Issue. Upon completion of the Assessments, RE-5J pursued a Bond WCSD identified a total of $116.6 million in recommended maintenance and repairs, $38 million were identified as “high priority.”
